Step 7:
Enter Project Notes


Note Pick-Lists:
Setup a standard set of note pick-lists that can be used for all estimates. Tabs include; Project Description, Bid Security, Schedule Dates, Terms & Conditions, Bidders List and General Notes.

General Notes:
Setup a standard pick-list, enter notes pertaining to the project and save it in Project Notes.

Estimate Notes:
Notes can be entered directly under any line in the bid. Refer to Step 9, “Enter Estimate Detailed Notes”.

Step 8:
Quantity Takeoffs


This is an optional step to assist the user in performing quantity takeoffs. For more detailed instructions on setting up takeoff assemblies refer to the help contents.

Setup Takeoff Assemblies:
Takeoff assemblies are setup in a resource file. A takeoff assembly is an assembly of material and crews. Each material resource or crew added to the assembly can have an associated user defined formula setup to calculate the quantity of the resource based on dimensions entered or digitized.

Selecting Takeoff Assemblies:
When working on an estimate, click on the “Enter Takeoffs” icon, to select the appropriate assembly.

Digitize Dimensions:
Point to the dimension to be measured and click “F12” to switch the mouse control to an external digitizing board.
